Refund and Returns Policy

Booking Terms and Conditions

  1. Your booking is with West of Scotland Anaesthetic Teaching, a charity registered in Scotland (Registered number : SC046663) and having its principal office at 272 Bath Street, Glasgow G2 4JR. (“WOSAT”).
  2. Acceptance of these terms constitute a legally binding contract between the delegate and WOSAT.
  3. Confirmation and Payment: Confirmation of your booking will be sent by email. Payment is due in full at the time of booking and before any confirmation is issued.
  4. Course Documentation: Course documentation will be distributed at or in in advance of the event.
  5. Cancellation by Participants: A booking may be cancelled and any course fees repaid in full provided written notice of cancellation is received by WOSAT at least one calendar month before the event. In the event that notice of cancellation is not received within that timescale all course fees paid will be retained by WOSAT. You accept that WOSAT will incur costs in the planning and arrangement of courses and conferences and that the retention of your course fees under these circumstances is reasonable and represents the loss which WOSAT will incur due to your cancellation.
  6. Cancellation for Covid-19: If you are unable to join our course due to COVID-19 symptoms or self-isolation: We will give you either a full refund or the opportunity to join the same course at a later date, at our discretion.
  7. Cancellation by WOSAT: WOSAT reserves the right to vary or cancel a course or conference where it concludes that the occasion necessitates and WOSAT accepts no liability (other than as set out in this paragraph) if, for whatever reason, the course or conference does not take place or takes place in a manner other than as advertised. In the event that WOSAT cancels a course or conference WOSAT will reimburse the course or conference fee but WOSAT will not reimburse any further costs (including travel or accommodation costs) incurred by the participant.
  8. Transfer of Course Bookings: Courses may not be transferred from one participant to another without the prior written consent of WOSAT.
  9. Participant Behaviour: All participants will behave with respect and integrity during the course or conference and will follow the instructions of WOSAT and its presenters at all times. In the event of any failure by a participant to act in accordance with this paragraph, WOSAT reserves the right to demand that the participant leaves the course or conference and no repayment of any fees will be made.
  10. Exclusion of Liability – Course Materials and Teaching: To the extent permitted by law, neither WOSAT nor its trustees nor presenters will be liable by reason of breach of contract, negligence or otherwise for any loss or consequential loss occasioned to any person acting omitting to act or refraining from acting in reliance upon the course material or presentation of the course or, except to the extent that any such loss does not exceed the price of the course, arising from or connected with any error or omission in the course material or presentation of the course. Consequential loss shall be deemed to include, but is not limited to, any loss of profits or anticipated profits, damage to reputation or goodwill, loss of business or anticipated business, damages, costs, expenses incurred or payable to any third party or any other indirect or consequential losses.
  11. Exclusion of Liability – Personal Loss or Damage: Neither WOSAT nor its trustees nor presenters will be liable for any loss or damage suffered by any participant on any course or conference other than in respect of the personal injury or death of a participant arising from the proven negligence of WOSAT or those for whom it is vicariously liable at law.
  12. Notice: Notice may be served on WOSAT in writing to WOSAT Trustees, Department of Anaesthesia, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, 1345 Govan Road, Glasgow G51 4TF or by e-mail to group@gmail.com
  13. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by Scots law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
